my power steering just stopped working and wont go on again

If starting and running , battery voltage and alternator charging rate o.k , you will need to scan it for fault codes with suitable equipment

would it be because i had a wrong noc sensor fitted and i now have new one fitted
does this have a bearing on why i lost power steering

If it happened after nox sensor fitted might be worthwhile checking wiring / plug at pump and belt and any at rack . Normally replacing that sensor would not cause power steering fault
