2011 Vauxhall Insignia u0100-00, u0101-00, u0140-71 faults

Have the above faults and car won’t start.

Code U0140 refers to the BCM or the wiring to the BCM from the engine control module (ECM). The code, depending on the model year, make and model of the vehicle, may mean that the BCM is faulty, that the BCM is not receiving or sending a signal, the BCM wiring harness is open or short, or that the BCM is not communicating. with ECM via controller network - CAN communication line.

Thank you. I had an auto electrician look at it, he said there might be a possible ABS module fault.

Would this cause these codes?

If you get it scanned with Tech3 or similar that covers all modules . it should show any faults . Some scanners dont do this

Yes, it was a broken wire in the harness going to the ECU. Just under where the washer bottle filler nozzle connects.
