Vibration noise from filter housing

2010 Vauxhall Insignia 1.8 petrol
Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Year: 2010
Variant: 1.8 petrol
Categories: Leaks & Noises
whilst idling a vibrating noise can be heard inside the car, if i open the bonnet it cant be heard (just the normal tick over noise). i'd read somewhere that it is the air filter housing, i decided to check it out and took the housing out, i'm glad i did because i checked the filter and it needed changing. put it all back together, making sure the rubber lugs were located properly, started up.....hey hey its cured. 1 day later its back and burning my head out. anyone had similar probs with this? do i just learn to live with it? thanks

Probably not a good solution but Had this on a customers Merc van,
Nothing cured it until I hooked a bunjee cord around it and fastened it down.
Not very pro but client was happy.
And I'm willing to bet it's still on after these MANY years!!
