2010 Vauxhall Insignia sat nav issue

Hi I have a cd500 system and whilst browsing managed to delete the maps of my car is have the software disc to reinstall but it says ..please insert a valid navigation dvd.. and when I do nothing happens .what do I need to do to install the software can anyone help

Is there not a seperate owners manual covering Audio / Sat Nav ? Is the disk a genuine one? if not Ihe disks are usually encrypted and copies don't work.If you dont have the infotainment manual , you van download from here .

Yeah it is a genuine disc it came with the car and the manual for infotainment system does not really help me

Grasping at straws here as to why disc not accepted but does it make any difference if engine running or ignition on when trying ? I know on some cars various menu functions will not operate unless this is the case .
