2009 Vauxhall Insignia door rusting

Inside of drivers door, starting to rust badly around area where wires connect into the door, vauxhall has told me this is a fault in insignias of a certain batch, although mine has the same fault, it's not in the batch that they have recalled and fixed, anyone any ideas of resolving the problem, cheers

With the car being 6 yrs old and apparently not part of the recall , only thing I could suggest is contacting VX customer services to see if they will help or contribute towards repair.

I had contacted vx before car was 6 years old, but as I had got my car serviced by a local garage with the service book stamped, vx wouldn't consider fixing it under the anti corrosion warranty although they told me that a batch of insignias have been recalled and repaired with the same fault, but mine isn't in the batch range.
