Water in boot

2009 Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 cdti 160 sri nav
Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Year: 2009
Variant: 2.0 cdti 160 sri nav
Categories: Leaks & Noises
the car seems to be gathering water in the spare wheel well in the boot, it appears to be coming from the left hand side of the boot just above the wheel but i cant see in side the trim.

I think it's only coming in when the car is moving.

any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Check the cabin extractor vents that are behind the sides of the rear bumper. If the flaps fail, rainwater can get in though them when under pressure by the wheels.

can you explain exactly where these vents are located, a picture would be great. Also if they have failed is there an easy fix?

thanks
