2009 Vauxhall Insignia front screen demister ineffective

Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Year: 2009
Variant: Saloon 1.8 SE Nav
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Car frosted up this morning; put front demister on as soon as engine started - worked ok last winter (normally clears inside and outside of screen in about 5-10 mins) , but today no effect, even after driving about 10 miles, screen only clearing on inside due to excess heat inside cabin from the heating being fully operational everywhere else. Rear demister worked fine, as usual. Only other (related?) electrical issue is I had a headlight lamp fail two days ago, but replaced it and works fine, didn't need to check fuse.
Is there a possibility the 'diverter' for warm air isn't working (I assume it's notor-driven?)

Ensure demister heating, ventilation & ac. system controls are set for fresh incoming air & not on air recirculation.
Check the pollen filter, it may be clogged, restricting front demister air flow. Find its location & renewal procedure in the cars handbook.
Front screen electric heater may have its own separate fuse & its location may be indicated in the handbook.
