2010 Vauxhall Insignia jerking between 1300 rpm and 1800 rpm

Car: Vauxhall Insignia
Year: 2010
Variant: 2.0 cdti
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
when the outside temperature is above 17C and the engine is cold, the car starts to jerk when slowly applying power in the first 5 minutes of driving at low speed in gear 2/3 between 1300 and 1800 rpm until the engine reaches 90C working temperature, at which point everything is normal, except that the engine still sounds different/hard within this rpm range.
software already updated - hasn't made a difference.
all help/suggestions appreciated!!

A re you still warrantied with this vehicle ,If so take it back ,obviously some ones been looking at it if they have done the first step software update.I wonder if they have adapted the vehicle .only other thought is any codes ?

No longer under warranty, but they are keen to get to the bottom of it. I have taken it to 3 different service departments and no-one can get to the bottom of it. Not sure what software update they have done, but they are convinced that it may be something else.
What exactly do you mean by codes?
There are no error codes appearing on the car nor on the system when it is connected to the service pc diagnostics.

Is the engine oil at the correct level ,Iknow this sounds strange but some times you can have an oil dilution problem which causes all sorts of issues .Its something some times overlooked, because it,s so basic.

Sorry not a solution but I find that my one is the same. During the summer months when there is warm temperatures my insignia misfires for the first 2 miles or so sometimes. Since the weather has cooled down everything is alright again. Yesterday the temperature was 20 degrees so the misfiring returned. Been to the local Vauxhall garage but nothing shows up on the diagnostic machine. Their records show that I had the same problem at this time last year. Hope you get a solution.

I had this Problem just over a year ago and vx told me it was the boost valve which seemed to do the trick recently it started doing it again.
just been out in it today and car went into limp mode and temp flew upto 130o, i let it cool down and started fine but with a squel drove for around another mile to get where i was going and rang rac when they got there the car wouldnt start!!!!!
hoping its just a water pump issue which has effected timing and not the engine which is cooked.
so my advice here is get to the garage as from what i see there is a proble with the water pumps! oh and mine has just run out of warrenty with 60k on the clock!

Hi djnev.

Tnx for the answer. Well, I already been to garage at least 10 times, and there is no known solution for this engine behavior.
Another question... Did your Insignia also "rattled" with temperature dependency? As Denii described.

Maybe be a dpf problem. If you dont do long journeys in it try once a month taking it out on m way or a long dual carriageway het into third gear and get up to 4k revs and keep it held there for ten seconds. Have had to do this before and sorts it as my missus doesnt do long journeys in our 160 cdti sri
