Turns over just will not start . i towed it and would not jumpstart but when we stopped it turned over no problem i let it idol/run for 15minutes switched it off everything fine. the next day it would not start again no fuel or heat

I can put 10 pounds worth of petrol in , but only get about 30 miles from the ten pounds ,i have no leaks and the oil and water are fine can anyone advise me as to what the problem could be
