You don't say what year car is , assume too new to do clip test ?

check the idle control valve and give it a clean

ok within a week i have had head gasket repaired along with (water pump,themostat,fan belt and oil,filter change). took car away from garage and it was smoking blue, 4 days later the engine warning light came on and loss of power,funny back blow from exhaust. took out spark plugs and cleaned, put back in and loads of white smoke coming out so took her for spin and light blue smoke started coming out again.

Was head tested / checked when gasket replaced ? Blue smoke is oil burning . What like were plugs when you had them out ?

plugs were oil and black but cleaned them up, put them back in and loads of smoke came out

sorry yeah both were tested and had cylinder head checked
