Water pump has been replaced as this was thought to be the problem but has made no difference

Water pump rattle would be in engine bay surely ? Your rattle underneath could be exhaust , silencer baffle plates inside , exhaust heat shield loose , s/ absorber or rear coil spring to name a few possible causes

Rattle only happens when engine is hot noise seems to from engine block water pump has been replaced
