2019 Ssangyong Musso break pedal linkage broke leaving me with absolutely no breaks

I was reversing my horse trailer into a yard but after uncoupling the trailer I pulled forward the brak linkage broke leaving me with absolutely no breaks at all.
This could have been very serious if I had have been on a road, I would not have been able to stop, my vehicle is automatic so I could not have used engine braking by changing down the gear box.

Very serious and needs examined for the cause of failure . Cant recollect having any cars that has happened to . Might be worthwhile contacting dealership and asking if known fault or any other reports concerning this

Automatic put into park wheels lock will hold car still , you might find its the plastic clip at the brake pedal , where it connects to the brake servo rod

You cant put it in park to stop when moving
