2006 Peugeot 206 breaks failing

Car: Peugeot 206
Year: 2006
Variant: Sport
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Recently my brakes suddenly stopped working properly. The pedal just went almost to the floor and nothing happened until I pumped the brakes. Although the break fluid looked fine, the garage bled it and replaced the fluid. This worked for almost 2 weeks, then the same happened again. The master break cylinder was replaced this time and it was fine for almost 4 weeks and now it's just as it was before, spongey, almost non existent brakes. What do I do next? Please help.

Usually the master cyl is the cause , it may be the cyl replaced is faulty . If not , need to check whole braking system for any signs of leaks , condition of pads / shoes ( whatever is fitted on the rear of that year ) any load sensing valve If it has rear shoes , wheel cyls need checking .

Just be careful , cant take any chances with your brakes . Might want to check the brake tank fluid level .

That's the thing, the fluid level and color have always been spot on, no indication of leaks, no discolouration.

If no sign of leaks , they could try bleeding the brakes again
