2018 Seat Ibiza rough idle since major service and cambelt change

Car: Seat Ibiza
Year: 2018
Variant: 1.0 TSI FR
Categories: Engine & DrivetrainRunning Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Went in to Seat main dealer perfect and had a major service and cambelt change. Since then has the most horrendous rough juddering idle and seems very lack lustre.

Took back to Seat and they cannot find the fault. They have supposedly changed coil packs, spark plugs and timing belts and it’s still there. Some days worse than others which is also strange.

Any ideas and it appears the main dealer doesn’t have a clue?

You will have to keep at the garage to get if fixed . From what you say , it was them that caused the fault and down to them to fix . If they cant , tell them you will contact Seat direct to see if they will help in getting it resolved . Or take to another garage for checking for fault and work they carried out or getting an independent report

Thank you. It is currently back with Seat for the second time. Had it two days previously and then all week this week so far. However call from them this evening they have said they still have no idea what is wrong. Very frustrated

Ask them if they have checked the cylinder compressions the next time you are speaking to them , would assume they have , but worth asking to be sure

My Granddaughter has a 2018 Ibiza 1.0 litre TSI with lumpy idle. It turns out to be a failed crankcase breather pipe (or something of that nature) which the dealer has told her will cost £1000 to replace, that is £600 the part and £400 labour. They have carried out a temporary repair by gluing the broken parts together but we know this will not last. Has anybody else heard of this problem.

If PCV hose / breather leaking it will cause air leak which will affect idle / running . If you know exactly the hose needed , you could try on e bay
