Carb overhauled new gaskets on inlet side new fuel pipes can’t find any air leaks but won’t run even, tried squirting oil around all manifold joints no change in engine speed or running. Can’t think of anything else now.
Would a fuel pump give me these problems.

If it's the SU carb on that car , nothing much goes wrong with them apart from needle , choke tube wear . Have you checked the cylinder compressions . plugs , plug leads , air filter , fuel filter ?

Changed coil, condenser new plugs carb overhauled by carb people new fuel pipes all manifold gaskets renewed no sound of air leaks yet won’t tick over evenly like it’s running out of fuel. Can’t think of anything else to try now. Compressions all ok Anybody got any ideas. Could the fuel pump be giving me these problems it’s a p4 80 1961. Oh I forgot to say will run with choke on a bit
