if the ems light is on then check fault codes,check all your intake pipes are fitted properly and are not damaged/split and that air filter is`nt blocked,make sure engine oil is at correct level.if the engine is running rough could be that you have an injector or pump fault,if there is a misfire you need to pinpoint which cylinder its on and go from there

probably just a fault with EGR valve.
