Headlights stay on all the time, also wipers only work when pulling the stalk to washtge screen

Sorry forgot to mention that I had replaced the wiper stalk and the problem still remains

Long shot but sometimes disconnecting a battery terminal for a few minutes and then refitting clears / reboots some faults .
