2007 Peugeot 407 rt4 issues

Hi,
Tried to update maps on my satnave with according to the book is RT4 but once the CD was recognised and ask if I wanted to update...It went black and nothing works anymore, parking sensors,radio, jukebox, CD...anything.
Although I've waited quite a long time, hopping that it could come up but no....
Meantime impensable radio to take out CD.... Still not working.
Anyone knows if I can reset to factory settings?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Go to a web site called BBA REMAN and search for BSI reset and try that.

Is it a genuine CD or a copy?

You have to have the engine running when you carry out map updates.BSi reset wont work but it seems you may have upset the software in your set are you sure it is an RT4 if it is it will have a red SOS button on the front of it

I have recently installed the new RT4/5 software update to V8.32, but the problem is I have now lost climate control visual. Nothing happens when I press the 'clim' button. I have no air-con, and no video input facility on the menu system anymore since installing the new version. I have also lost the reversing beeps since this update.
What the hell is going on?!.
I thought the whole idea of an update is to stay updated not to take things away, and/or mess a piece of kit up.
