hi,someone said my belt pulley tensioner is going as its making a sound like the tappets or pistons going
are they hard to change

Sorry,
infos right there.
Anyway easy test,
Get a tool onto the tensioner,
it's spring loaded,
and with the engine running back of the spring tensioner to stop the belt and if the noise stops then it's somewhere in the alternator belt drive system.
Not so hard to swap over the tensioner but access isn't too good,
Top engine mount has to come off so engine needs jacked up.

a special tool is required to release tension on the belt or a perfectly placed pry bar...the engine mount does not need removing
