2008 Peugeot 407 rpm unstable

I face the problem always, after the car running and when start moving without clicking on the throttle I saw the RPM unstable its decreasing to 500 RPM then going up again to 1000 RPM.

it could be something as simple as a dirty throttle butterfly or the auto adaptives may need resetting.
