No power

I have lost all power when accelerating. I have looked under the bonnet and got my wife to press down the accelerator down. The result was some of the air pipes collapsed. Has anyone got any ideas?

check the air dozer at the front of the engine as these can stick. Also the turbos can give problems especially the sensor attached to it.A diagnostic read would give an indication as to what may be happening.

Thanks for the advice. I have booked it in to the local garage for a diagnostics and hopefully repair tomorrow.
