radio not work after disconnecting the battery do i have to have a code for it
Problem added: Sep 4, 2011 (12 years ago)
Could check this out ,

" Since having the battery on my 407 disconnected the radio will not appear on the Dash computer. I do not know if it needs a code or how you would enter a code when it will not go onto the audio menu.

" It may sound a bit obvious but I had same problem recently after a battery change, seemed as if radio was not even in the car. Phoned local peugeot dealership and spoke to service engineer. By chance he asked if the radio was turned on! I replied that it was not possible to turn the radio off as the large knob was only volume control but it is apparently a button too that can be pressed to turn the radio on and off. Common fault for these buttons to fail. Pull off the knob and try the switch underneath.....it worked for me. "

Hi there, thankyou ll very much for the simple fix problem regarding car stereo. After 2 visits with different mechanics 1 could not even remove stereo after qualifying that all fuses were working ok, BTW Tork T20 is the go!! The second left me with i will have to get a code or go to Peugeot direct to fix normally 70.00 euro, luckily after reading blog it was just the plastic on/off button that was faulty.

Big up and thanks

" Awesome!! It was the stupid plastic knob! Thanks for advice. Tom "

Thanks for this -

I changed my battery and could not understand why the radio would not work. The the manual said that the radio was programmed only to work with my vehicle and did not require a code to be entered. As you said removing the radio knob revealed a button underneath which switched it on gain. I would never have worked it out in a million years - thanks again.
