2000 Peugeot 308 aircon poor

Hi guys, I've a year old 308 which I bought early this year. As the weather temp has got a lot better of late, its become more obvious that the manual aircon is either very poor or not actually doing owt at all. At full tilt its just like the cold blower is on - and not what you'd call 'cool' at all. In fact I can easily get more 'frost' from the Mrs when I've done wrong! Is this something that's known about, or should it be better? I've never known anything as feeble as this in a car before. Cheers - Mick.

probably needs regassing mate, some places will check it for you incase you have a leak.

Thanks for the quick reply. Regassing is what i had in mind, but I'm surprised after such a short time from new that's all. If that'll cure it that's fine, as long as their isn't an underlying prob causing the leak. Mick.

Take it back to your supplier and complain it should be covered by warrenty unless it is stone damage to the condenser, a year is no time at all for a system to loose its gas, it should last years, if thats the problem.
