2016 Peugeot 308 electrical circuit fault message comes on for about 5 seconds then it goes out and service light stays on could anyone help please.

Electrical circuit fault display appears when ignition is switched on. It then disappears but service light stays lit. This was immediately after fitting new battery. All error codes erased by mechanic. It drives normally with no displays apart from service which I had reset after service.

Could try removing a battery terminal for 15 mins and then refit , works on some cars

Thanks I shall try that. It’s just had a major service plus a brand new battery fitted by a mechanic who reset any/all fault codes with his diagnostic thingy.
