Hi, my car has done the same thing!

I'm not a car guy at all so can someone explain (like you're talking to a 5 year old) what the exact fix for this is?

All I hear is the noise of the CD player trying to spit a CD out, its driving me mad!

Please can someone help

Get your battery LOAD tested as if in low voltage on some cars it causes certain functions like you describe to cut off Also check alternator charging rate , both simple 5 mins test .
