2003 Peugeot 307 clunking

when i got over a bump or even a small pothole i get what sounds like a metal to metal clunk which sounds quite bad, is this the suspension or shockers, i dont want to go and be ripped of by someone so would rather have an incline what and how much it should cost. thanks Henry

If it's "a metal to metal clunk " , it could be broken coil spring , anti roll bar link arms but other possible causes .

If the noise is coming from the front then its probably a drop link. Could also be anti rollbar bush though .wont be too exspensive to fix
