Will check out all the fuses tomorrow and let you know how it goes, I was thinking it was a bad earth in talegate

If wiring damaged it can be touching / shorting

Had a yellow and green wire which had snapped in rear wiring loom, I repaired that but still no different, can’t find anymore breaks or shorts

All fuses ok, nothing blown, apart from my brain, rang an autolec who told me it could be the body control module, sounding mega expensive to me

Ask him about the price or if rebooting or repairing the BSI is an option

Sometimes you can be unlucky and unfortunately end up with a money pit
Posted Sep 20, 2023 (7 months ago)
Not wrong there, can’t imagine how much it’s going to cost for anew BSI
Posted Sep 20, 2023 (7 months ago)
If in doubt it would be better if you get a Planet Diagnosis test done first as it may no be BSI and something else
Posted Sep 20, 2023 (7 months ago)
Wouldn’t know where to get that done
Posted Sep 20, 2023 (7 months ago)
You would need to find a garage locally that had Diagbox / Planet diagnostics to scan or alternatively , go to a dealership which would be more expensive

Booked in for new BSI, tried several times to reboot but to no avail, waiting for the estimate now.

Problem now sorted at a cost of £462, the BSI had completely blown, all caused by the yellow and green wire snapping in the tailgate wiring loom, buyer of a 3008 beware, costly fix if that wire snaps.
