I had the same sort of problem with my Vectra dealer quoted 7 to 900 to fix took the fobs to a local repair shop there was a broken contact on one fob and faulty button on the other giving a weak signal total repair cost £30 00 it may be worth a look

Hi I have a Proton Gen 2 2007 Model hatchback and the central locking as well as the manual key lock on the drivers door has stopped working. I am able to close the door but neither the remote nor the ket can lock the doors. I have changed the battery on the remote and the LED lights up brightly but it refusee to lock or swich on the alarm system. Any advise on how to solve the problem?
