2014 Peugeot 208 engine light flashing and loud fan on

I hate to say it but the likes of
Spark plugs
New fan
Coil pack
New battery
New engine mount
Recalibration engine

can be expected with any 8 yr old car . If it had a diagnostic scan with proper equipment it should show fault codes that are causing your problems .Taking to all the different garages cant be helpful and you would have probably been cheaper in the long run if you had went to Peugeot dealership in the first place for diagnosing and repair

I disagree as saving money by taking it too Peugeot dealers .. I've the same problem, had different mechanics go over it etc, did parts. Pressure test which was fine .. then last resort to Peugeot... And still no joy! In fact cost alot of money, and then wanted to strip my engine (£800) and still could of been no wiser to finding the fault! Yet . Pressure test was fine... So why feel the need to strip engine!!? Engine management light comes on intermittently! Goes in limp mode and fan loud! Stop car till fan goes off and fine again! Now problems with cigarette lighter, lights around heating setting can go off and other minor things, 2 possibilities thinking of now .. could be ecu (it did go to Peugeot 2yrs ago)to be updated as was a recall!!! Car wouldn't start and drained battery! Suspected alternator! But when checked online there was recalls ony model of update of ECU! Now showing on diagnostic BCU faults! Which makes me think either down to that, or the ECU itself! From the start of issue (management Engine light) coming on, always said was misfire on cylinder 2!! Which isn't the problem! As been checked and tested! By Peugeot and other mechanics! Mystery ? also Peugeot trying to get me to commit to a new car!! ?

Also mine is 1.0 2015 plate ! Only 27000 miles when purchased car... 3 yrs ago
