Hi! I’ve just bought from auction a Peugeot 207 gti thp , 1.6 petrol. Car was out of timing and on pistol fucked up the head. I’ve replaced the head, new piston, new spark plugs, new temperature sensor and many more that I really can’t remember.
Car starts but gets cut off immediately. After 2 starts, the third one is with luck. When I try to rave it, it’s bubbling like is about to die. When water temperature reach 70 degrees, car is working perfectly.
I’ve cleaned the throttle body, disconnected and cleaned the sensors… checked ecu for water damage, got diagnosed and no fault codes. I’m about the fire this car up as I’ve looked everywhere so see if I can find any solution, but nothing yet.
Does anyone have any idea what should I do?
Thank you!

You checked the cylinder compressions , especially when cold ?
I’ve checked. 3 of them have 10, only one has 7 bars.

Also, when engine is hot, all 4 have same compression.

did you ever get it sorted ?
Yes. Seems like the engine block had a scratch which causes the car to not work as it should.
I’ve bough an engine, change it and now it’s running very nice.
Even I ended up changing parts like thermostat, oil switch and many more that I can’t even remember.
Gladly the issue is fixed and car is working perfect.
