1999 Peugeot 206 sunroof not closing completely

Variant: 5 door hatchback
I have a 1999 Peugeot 206 with a sunroof that doesn't close all the way.
If I hold the close button after the roof has closed it makes a continual clicking noise, but never closes that last bit.
Sometimes it fails to open completely as well. Closing it and causing it to click a few times resolves this.
Any ideas?
