hello my daughters car is a pug 206 auto, its over heating because the fan is not cutting in,she lives 60 miles away from me,can I wire the up independently from the rad switch so its on all the time just so I can get it back home to work on it,ie relays or changing the switch,(she is giving the car back to her mum ) I'd rather work on the car at home than 60 miles away in leeds, thanks tony

Not really familar with that car , but can you not just bridge wiring / plug from fan sensor ?

Hi again and thanks for you replied,on an old car pre-ecu,that's what I would of done,i'm excellent with points and condenser cars, but some one told me if I tried that it would blow the relays behind the front bumper ,so thought I would try asking on here first,I was tough on 60st and 70ts cars and lived at the scrap yards ,great fun,now I have to rely on garages for diagnostics : ( ,think I will try as you say, thanks again for your reply tony

Hi i had same problem with my 206 1.4 2001 fan would not cut in so car was over heating, tried loads and eventually cleaned the relay connectors near the fan with fine sand paper as they had built up a powder ish residue on them removed with the snad paper very gently and then when we revved the car so heated to 90 degrees the fan kicked in had no problems since.
