Cuts out in wet weather

whenever it rains heavily my car starts fine then cuts out when i try to move it starts chugging and blowing out what appears to be white steam , i leave it for a minute and it starts moves a little then cuts out again can anyone help????

If it only does it when it rains quite obviously the water must be getting onto the engine, does it have vents in the bonnet and if so do they have undershields to deflect what drips through. would be a good idea to pop the bonnet after raining to see if the engine is wet. other than that the damp maybe causing electrical components to short causing running probs

Try drying out all the under bonnet electrics and spraying thoroughly with an anti-damp sealant.Ensure no ingress of rain via air intake.
