2001 Peugeot 206 1.4 LX Petrol Manual Air Con
Car: Peugeot 206
Year: 2001
Variant: 1.4 LX Petrol Manual Air Con
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Have just had the radiator replaced after it bust. garage told me I needed a new engine harness as wires were all corroded. Cost £1100. No chance! Found main feed wire to bottom fan relay was corroded and broken. Have replaced wire with one from scrappies and also replaced the 2 fan relays and the cooling fan motor as it was also burnt out. However temperature gauge is reading in the read as soon as car starts and cooling fan runs all the time. As the car has overheated when the radiator burst does something need to be reset or has anybody any other ideas.

The guy in the garage said he had disconnected the thermostat but I cannot find anything disconnected. i'm not sure wher all the coolant sensors are the one I have seen on top of the water pump housing looks OK and I have disconnected it but made no difference to the temp. gauge. Any advise on where the other sensors are???

You cant disconnect a thermostat .You can remove it but engine will run cold I'm sure the link I supplied tells you where the sensors are and also the colours .You may have blown head gasket if you ran it overheated .
