2001 Peugeot 206 losing power - struggling to set off after slowing down

I have a 51 plate peugeot 206 1.4 Auto
Have owned it for around 12 months - when I first got it On the odd occasion I would have a slight problem when in 'stop/start' traffic - Basically every now and again the car would struggle to set off after slowing right down. It would feel as if the car had very little power, and i'd have to accelerate really hard, the car would then set off - rev loudly, then be ok.
It happened about 5 times in 3 months - I then took the car for a full service and it never happened again - Until recently - It's now doing this around 4 or 5 times a week, always when having slowed down, set off, and slowed down again. On a separate occasion, the car lost power all together at traffic lights, when I tried to set off, after having the handbrake on, It re-started again ok.
The car does have a quite bad oil leak - could this be causing this problem?
It's only recently passed it's MOT - and showed no diagnostic faults
The engine management light does not come on.
It's booked it for Thursday for the oil leak sorting, but it's making me rapidly lose confidence in the car.
I'd appreciate advice / suggestions so I know what to expect. - Thanks!

If the oil is from auto transmission , that could be your fault .

We bought a peugeot 206 for my daughter for her birthday, and it was ok when we got it. But it is now showing a slight problem. The car can be driving along, then the power just goes. The engine is still running and it is still going, but it slows down. It has happened to myself and thought it was needing more fuel. As was going up hill. Does any one have a clue what it is. Was thinking it needs some fuel injector cleaner?
