Good Day,
Can anyone advise me on a good original clutch system make for a peugeot 206.
I have been using a valeo make which was perfect until it started wearing out now i am not able to get the exact make. tried two brands which the car seems not to except.

When you say " not accept " what do you mean ? Any decent motor factor should supply the correct and suitable clutch assembly for the car which will be covered by manufacturers warranty if faulty .

By No accept i mean when i replaced it with one make the clutch would release suddely and the car would stall / switch off driving in traffic was a nightmare and well as while getting on to main roads from a junction.
I removed the pressure and noticed that the splines/ fingers were much shorted this was causing the sudden release with long splines the release is smooth but again clutch leaves late.

Sounds like wrong clutch assembly fitted . If the centre plate hub is different and the height of the pressure plate also ,it's got to affect the amount the release bearing travels before operating . This will affect clutch take up point .

Other thing , if clutch cable , is adjustment / clearance o.k ?

the cable fitting is ok there is no adjustment from the pedal to cable.
I also had a new cable fitted the lenght was exactly the same as the old one.

The cable is usually a auto adjust clutch cable if no external adjustment or on some cars , auto adjust mechanism on pedal .
