0000 Peugeot 206 car losing all power in 2nd gear

Car: Peugeot 206
Year: 0000
Variant: 1.1 LX
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Car is losing power - in that the accelerator just stops working completely (not revving or anything, just nothing happening). Car eventually slows to a stop and the battery cuts out (regardless of whether or not I clutch).

This is happening when I am in 2nd gear, slow down and then accelerate again. No warning lights flashing. Restarts no problem.

This only started happening since I got it serviced last week (and replaced exhaust). I brought it back to the garage, they cleaned idle valve (?) and couldn't find anything else wrong but it is still happening.

Help pls!

strongly suspect either a fuel delivery problem(e.g fuel pump intermittent electrical contact issue-loose wire) or solenoid problem. Experienced both. ligs.

Since it all started since exhaust fitted , take it back to them for checking . Not the first time a faulty exhaust part was causing internal blockage on system , restricting engine power .

I brought it back to them a couple days later and they said "couldn't find anything wrong with it" - they didn't seem convinced there was anything wrong.

Hi, have a 206 w reg 1.9d, its VERY slow!!! when you put your foot on the gas it doesnt rev straight away it seems to be delayed?, when driving it there seems to be no power, fine when you first put your foot down them seems to die when your foot is half way or full to the floor and you have had it if your going uphill!!! lol.
Not using fuel, cutting out, no lights on anywhere, engines sounds fine and normal. Have noticed today heard a hiss and bleep from pass side glove box area when i change gear. anyone have any ideas whats up with it?
Thankyou
