2002 Peugeot 206 knocking sound when turning but stops when press the break

hi, my peugeot 206 has started making a loud knocking sound when i turn the wheel either way and driving along but it stops when i press the foot brake. the knocking sound is more frequent the faster i go and is worse on when the wheel is turned just a quater of a turn either way.
does anyone have any idea what it might be so i know what i dealing with.

Check your driveshafts , wheel bearings ,disc pads / brakes .
