2002 Peugeot 206 cv gaitor split and handbrake below requirements :-(

Car: Peugeot 206
Year: 2002
Variant: 1.6 xsi
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
My car failed its MOT today...

1.... Front constant velocity joint gaiter insecurely mounted to its housing [2.5.C.1a]

**does anyone know roughly what sort of price i am going to be looking at for this?**

2.... Parking brake efficiency below requirements [3.7.a.10] (15%)

I had my handbrake tightened a month ago, and to me it does what its supposed to do ??!!

Help !!! :-)

Front constant velocity joint gaiter insecurely mounted to its housing " could mean it just needs a new clip ".But if as you then say " CV gaitor split " means a new gaiter , bigger job .Impossible to estimate h/brake till cause / fault known .You should have asked testing station for estimate of repairs / fixing faults .

easy straigth forward fix on peogeots cv boot cost will be around a hours labour and the same for the hand brake but dont be put of because you have had your handbrake done a month ago doesnt mean another problem has arisen on the rear brakes but could just want the brake adjusting up and a clean out
