Overheating

2004 Peugeot 206 1.4 Petrol
Car: Peugeot 206
Year: 2004
Variant: 1.4 Petrol
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
When sat in traffic, the temperature gauge is almost at 100 degrees. The fan does kick in but it doesn't get back to normal until the car is moving again. I don't ride the clutch and I check the water regularly. Any ideas what could be causing this?

this is normal when sat in traffic for the temp to rise as long as you keep a eye on the water like you say there is not really anything to worry about but just keep a eye on the water level

My car has the same problem but when the temperature goes up to 90 degrees or higher, I can hear some vibrating sound. And when I drive the car for a while again, and the temperature does come down and the vibrating sound is gone. Also, I do notice that the temperature goes up more quickly then before. Is there anything to worry about?
