Alternator Belt

2004 Peugeot 206 Fever 1.4
Car: Peugeot 206
Year: 2004
Variant: Fever 1.4

Peugeot have said i need a new Alternator Belt. Took the car to a garage that does work for me and he's told me the car doesn't have an alternator belt, the alternator is connected to the timing belt (which was replaced last year and is still like new)? Tried to look on the net for an answer to if my car might have an alternator belt but can't see anything?

Any help?

Seems to be different belts for that car depending on spec ,

PEUGEOT 206 1.4i Petrol

Alternator Belt (710mm) AEP PART #: 10A0710C
£4.37
AUG 1998 - NOW

Alternator Belt (1565mm) AEP PART #: 6PK1565
£9.01
AUG 1998 - NOW

Alternator Belt (1450mm) AEP PART #: 6PK1450
£9.98
AUG 1998 - NOW

But if your mechanic checked it and said it's different , can't disagree.

I am not aware of the alternator being driven by the timing belt on your vehicle so i would say that the belt needs checking and then replacing if necessary
