2001 Peugeot 206 judder through accelerator & airbag light randomly comes on

Every so often whilst driving it feels like my engine is struggling and i get feel almost a judder through the accelerator this can happen both driving at high speeds on the motorway and also driving normally locally.
My Airbag light also randomly flashes on, I think this is a common problem with 206's.
I wasn’t sure what the cause for the above were, particularly the engine struggle.
