2000 Peugeot 206 s and ice lights flash on dashboard

Does your car go into limp mode,does the car pull of very slow,limp mode is to get you of the road safely,This is what happend to my wife's car,She would start the car the lights would flash ,she would get the car onto running temp switch of the ignition then re-start the car and they would stay off,but eventually this did not work all the time so we put the car into Peugeot,Apparently the car has a counter on it which needs to be reset to O, This is what they said and what was on the bill ,they told us that it will happen again in a few years ????, It cost us £65,But as you Know you just have to take there word for it and pay your money and hope they have fixed it, It worked for us ,that was 10 months ago the car has since run perfect, good luck
