Clutch pedal crunching

2007 Peugeot 206
Car: Peugeot 206
Year: 2007
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
Twice now the Clutch has made a crunching noise and won't press down fully or let me put it in gear. I have to force it n then pump the pedal quite a few times to free it, afterwards it runs perfect though. Any ideas what this could be?

If a hydraulic clutch , check fluid level and for any leaks in system .If no leaks try bleeding . If that doesn't fix it , it may be clutch release bearing or clutch assembly.

There's a known fault on these,
It's actually the sleeve that the release bearing runs on that's bolted to the gearbox.
Peugeot call it a guide bush.
And wear causes the clutch release bearing to catch on the bush giving your symptoms.
So be prepared for a gearbox out and in with a new guide bush and clutch replacement.
Least that would be my guess.
And I done more than a few of them.
