2003 Peugeot 206 car struggles to start then when does engine light on

i recently had a new battery and starter motor fitted now car struggles to start will turn over but doesnt start then when does it very quickly dies despite pressing accelarater when it does finally start the engine light remains on,however the car will start everytime after unless it been stood overnight any ideas please

Better to get it scanned and see what triggered the engine light .Could try replacing engine coolant temp sensor and check plugs .

hi after car finally starts it fine for rest of day and after about half hour engine light goes out and stays out till following morning when i get the same problem when the light comes on car gives one beep.

Check basics like coolant level and oil level but sounds like a faulty engine coolant level sensor .
