2003 Peugeot 206 stop light

When driving on motorway suddenly engine cuts out steering goes stop light comes on. Car like it's got no power. Then suddenly everything comes back on and driving if nothing had happened. Also headlights come on for no reason.

Sounds like a fault in the Body Systems Interface to me,
Get a Global Scan done.
