I have just had my car not and since it came back the light on the dash which tell s you when a service is due won't go off when I turn off the engine and it's draining the battery so car won't start how can this be on if I don't have my key in

Try the reset first by pressing in the odometer rest button , the keep pressing and turn on ignition if you have the system display it should do a backwards count down from 10-0 keep pressing and once at 0 turn of ignition and turn side lights on , your service date will now be reset. Switch on ignition as normal light should be off .
If that does not work it may have to be taken to a garage for diagnostic tests
