2004 Peugeot 206 beeping noise as opened door to get out car

Just got home from work turnt every thing off took key out of ignition opened drivers door and beeping started! Only for a few seconds then stops! Closed door went to lock door with key fob and wouldn't work! Checked all doors were closed and boot shut properly incase but still no joy! Opened drivers door again and beeps again for few seconds! Put key back in ignition but cant see anything abnormal flashing up on the dash board?all looks ok, Had to lock door manually with key!

When the car won't lock is the interior/ courtesy light staying on? If so it could be the micro switch in lock assembly sticking ,You sometimes can get away with spraying the likes of WD 40 into lock .Sometimes as a quick fix is to hit door hard near lock with heel of hand , don't go crazy and damage bodywork !!!

I cant honestly say i didnt noticed if interior light stayed on when couldn't lock with key fob however when i used the key manually to lock the car the light did go off ! Thank u I will check for this
