2004 Peugeot 206 buzzing through accelerator pedal

I have a problem with a very annoying 'buzzing' through the accelerator pedal, especially when de-celerating. The other things I've noticed are - rattling exhaust when moving off & there seems to be quite a bit of play in the accelerator cable under the bonnet; also the power steering isn't very light. Garage replaced the bushes under the pedal(?) Any suggestions very welcome - I like to go to the garage armed with a bit of knowledge. Bought the car second hand & garage gave me warranty till end of April. Can anyone help please?
