2000 Peugeot 206 rear stop and tail light problem

When i switch on my side lights the rear near side light is brighter than the off side light, and when i apply the foot brake the rear side break light is not as bright as the off side rear break light, can anyone Help please.

If it is a double filament bulb for side/ brake lights , the bright bulb when side lights are on is in the wrong way .
